Meraki Pricing: MV Cameras, Licenses, and What a Site Costs

MV camera and Enterprise license prices at US list, from our September 2026 distributor feed — plus a worked 8-camera site budget. HTS quotes and installs Meraki MV across PA, NJ, and DE.

The short answer

Meraki MV cameras cost hardware once plus an Enterprise license per camera, sold in 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-, and 10-year terms. At US list, the cameras most sites use run $1,069.43 to $4,849.67, and the license is $330.15 per camera per year on a 1-year term or $751.62 for three years (about $250 a year). A worked 8-camera site — six indoor mini domes and two outdoor domes on 3-year licenses — totals $18,376.18 at list. Storage is onboard; there is no recorder to buy. Request a site quote.

HTS quotes and installs Meraki MV across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, alongside the Verkada line — the honest cost comparison is below.

How Meraki licensing works

Each MV camera needs its own Enterprise license — sold in 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-, and 10-year terms. Under per-device licensing each license renews independently, so a camera added next year does not re-date the rest of the fleet. One caveat: per-device licensing is closed to new organizations — since September 2023, new Meraki orgs start on co-term or subscription licensing, where the whole fleet shares one renewal date; existing per-device orgs keep the terms above. The license covers the Meraki dashboard, support, and firmware updates.

Add-ons at list, per camera: MV Sense analytics (person and vehicle detection) at $147.51 per year, and Cloud Archive retention that extends off-device storage — the 30-day tier is $220.77 per year, the 90-day tier $551.93.

What an 8-camera site costs

A worked example at list: six indoor mini domes and two outdoor mini domes, all on 3-year Enterprise licenses.

Line itemQuantityUnit (list)Subtotal
MV13-HW indoor mini dome6$1,437.49$8,624.94
MV63-HW outdoor mini dome2$1,869.14$3,738.28

About $2,297 per camera position over three years, at list, before tax and shipping. Installation is quoted per site — cabling, switching, and mounting determine that line.

What moves the price up or down

  • Onboard storage. 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants carry different list prices and hold more footage on the device.
  • Term length. The 3-year term and longer work out to about $250 a year, against $330.15 on the 1-year term.
  • Analytics. MV Sense adds $147.51 per camera per year at list where people and vehicle detection matter.
  • Cloud Archive. Off-device retention is an add-on license — $220.77 per camera per year for the 30-day tier at list.
  • Multisensors. The MV84X ($13,685.13 at list) covers wide areas like parking structures from one housing.

Meraki and Verkada, costed side by side

Both are hardware-once plus a license per camera, both cloud-managed with no recorder to buy. At US list, Verkada’s 3-year camera license is $659 (about $220 a year) against Meraki’s $751.62 (about $250 a year); camera hardware overlaps in range. We quote and install both, and the choice usually comes down to which dashboard your team already runs and which cameras fit your mounts. Full Verkada tables: Verkada pricing.
