Harris Technology Services

Brand Guidelines

How to use the HTS name, logo, colors, and type — for partners, vendors, printers, agencies, and anyone producing materials that carry our mark.

Start here

Who we are, in short

Harris Technology Services delivers integrated digital and physical protection for businesses — cloud-managed, AI-enabled, and supported by people. Everything in this guide exists so that materials carrying our name look like they came from the same company.

Brand attributes

  • Security-first
  • Modern and technical
  • Trustworthy and calm
  • Clear, not cluttered
  • Proactive support mindset

Voice & tone

Professional, direct, reassuring. Plain language over jargon — define acronyms on first use. Partner-oriented ("we help you…", "recommended approach…") rather than sales-heavy. Be specific: name the action and the expected outcome.

Naming

Write Harris Technology Services in full on first mention, then HTS. Never "Harris Tech", "H.T.S.", or "hts" in running text. The legal entity name is Harris Technology Services.

02 — Misuse

What not to do

Every example below is a real rendering of the actual logo file — not a description. If a layout you are producing resembles any of these, it needs to change before it ships.

Don't stretch

Never scale width and height independently. Hold Shift, or lock the aspect ratio.

Don't compress

Squashing to fit a space is the most common violation. Resize the space instead.

Don't recolor

Navy or white only. Not your brand color, not a seasonal color, not a gradient.

Don't rotate

The logo sits level. No angles, no arcs, no vertical stacking of the wordmark.

Don't add effects

No drop shadows, bevels, glows, outlines, or strokes of any kind.

Don't use low contrast

Navy on a dark or busy ground. Switch to the white logo, or add a clean panel behind it.

Don't reverse onto light

The white logo needs a dark ground. On light tints it disappears.

Don't outline

Adding a keyline to force visibility changes the mark. Fix the background instead.

Correct

Supplied file, original proportions, full clear space, high-contrast background.

03 — Color

Palette

Navy carries the structure. Action Blue is an accent, used sparingly. Everything else is neutral. Values below are the authoritative reference — sample from here, not from a screenshot or a PDF.

Accessible text variants

Action Blue and the status colors are vivid by design and do not carry enough contrast for small text. Use the brand color for fills, rules, icons, and large graphics — and the variant below whenever the color has to be readable as text, a link, or a small control.

Vision gradient

linear-gradient(135deg, #3B41C5 0%, #A855F7 50%, #EC4899 100%)

Reserved for hero banners and title slides. It is a device, not a brand color — do not pull individual stops out of it for charts, icons, or type. All content on the gradient is white.

Dark backgrounds

#38B6FF ON #081633

On dark grounds, Action Blue is replaced by Sky #38B6FF, which holds 7.93:1 against deep navy. Body text becomes #C7D2E6 and surfaces lift to #0D2152. This page uses that system — switch your device to dark mode to see it.

Legacy palette and replacement

HTS rebranded ahead of the current website. These are the previous brand colours. You may still encounter them in older documents, vehicle graphics, and printed signage. Use HTS Navy in place of the retired navy; otherwise match the current palette above, not the remaining legacy colors.

Updated Logo navy

Current site artwork uses #0D2152, the approved HTS Navy. Prefer the white logo on navy for dark headers and title slides, or set the navy logo on white or light gray.

Provisional CMYK values

The CMYK figures above are mathematically converted from RGB and are supplied for reference only. They have not been approved against a press proof. For offset, screen, embroidery, signage, or vehicle wraps, request confirmed separations from HTS Marketing before running production.

04 — Typography

Inter, set with restraint

Inter is the primary typeface for HTS headings, body copy, user interfaces, print, and customer-facing materials. Lato Black Italic is reserved for the supplied logo wordmark, while SF Mono is reserved for code, data, and technical labels. Inter and Lato are licensed under the SIL Open Font License — free to use, embed, and redistribute, including commercially.

Primary typeface

Inter

Headings, body, UI, and print. Available from rsms.me/inter and Google Fonts. Fallback: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, sans-serif

Logo wordmark only

Lato Black Italic

The HARRIS wordmark is set in Lato Black Italic. It is not a general-purpose brand face — never set body copy, headings, or slide text in Lato. It is listed here only so the logo can be extended correctly. Also SIL OFL.

Monospace

SF Mono

Code, data, technical identifiers, and the small uppercase labels used throughout this guide. SF Mono is an Apple system font used when available; the stack below provides fallbacks on other systems. Obtain it through Apple Fonts and follow Apple’s font license and terms. Stack: "SF Mono", Menlo, Consolas, Monaco, monospace

Setting rules

  • Headings in Navy #0D2152; body in Gray #4A4A4A.
  • Keep body measure between 60 and 90 characters per line.
  • Title case for H1 and H2; sentence case for H3 and below.
  • Never set body text below 14 px, or 16 px in form inputs.
  • Use descriptive headings — "Configure PSA Callbacks", not "Setup".

05 — Co-Branding

Showing our mark next to yours

Partner lockups, joint proposals, event signage, and sponsor walls all follow the same construction. Any co-branded asset requires written approval before publication.

PARTNER
LOGO

Do Construction

  • Separate the marks with a 1 px vertical rule in #C9D2E0, set to the height of the taller mark.
  • Leave clear space equal to the H-height on both sides of the rule — never less.
  • Balance the marks by visual weight, not by pixel height. Optical parity beats measured parity.
  • Place HTS on the left when HTS is the supplier or host; on the right when the partner is the host.
  • Use one background for both marks, and pick the logo variants that suit it.

Don't Common errors

  • Merge, overlap, or interlock the two marks into a single graphic.
  • Place a partner mark inside the HTS clear space zone.
  • Recolor the HTS logo to match a partner palette.
  • Imply a legal relationship — joint venture, merger, endorsement — that is not in a signed agreement.
  • Use the HTS mark larger than the partner's to suggest seniority without agreement.

06 — Permitted Use

Trademark and permission

The HTS name, logo, and marks are the property of Harris Technology Services. This section states what you may do without asking, and what requires written approval first.

No approval needed

  • Referring to HTS by name in factual, accurate text.
  • Using the supplied logo, unmodified, to identify HTS as your vendor, supplier, or service provider.
  • Reproducing HTS-authored documents that already carry the mark.
  • Listing HTS in a customer, partner, or vendor directory.

Written approval required

  • Press releases, case studies, or testimonials naming HTS.
  • Any co-branded material, lockup, or joint campaign.
  • Merchandise, apparel, signage, vehicle wraps, or promotional items.
  • Advertising or paid placement that includes the HTS mark.
  • Use of the mark in a product name, domain, social handle, or app icon.
  • Any modification of the mark, including new color variants.
Terms. Permission to use the HTS marks does not transfer ownership and may be withdrawn at any time. Use must not imply endorsement, partnership, or certification that is not established by a signed agreement. On withdrawal, remove the marks from circulating materials within 30 days. Direct all approval requests to sales@harristechnologyservices.com.

08 — Downloads

Download the logo

Take the files from here rather than pulling a logo out of a website, a slide deck, or a previous project — those copies are usually the wrong colour, the wrong variant, or too small.

Navy logo

Transparent PNG. Use on white and light backgrounds.

White logo

Transparent PNG. Required on navy, photography, and the gradient.

Everything

Both variants at every size, in one archive.

Typefaces

Both are SIL Open Font License — free to use, embed, and redistribute, including commercially. Nothing to purchase.

Approvals

Co-branding, press releases, case studies, merchandise, signage, and any modification of the mark need written approval before production. Allow five business days.

Not for print There is no vector logo

The file named HTS Logo Vectorized.svg is not vector artwork — it contains four embedded bitmaps and zero editable paths. Every candidate file HTS holds was checked: that SVG, four Illustrator banner files, both logo PDFs, and the master TIF. All are raster. The highest-resolution artwork that exists anywhere is 1080 × 1080 px.

The downloads above are correct for screen, office documents, slides, and email — but not for signage, vehicle wraps, embroidery, or offset printing. For those, contact Marketing: the mark is being redrawn as true vector. Do not let a vendor upscale or auto-trace a PNG.

09 — Sub-Brands

Named spaces and service lines

HTS runs two sub-brands. They are not separate companies. Each inherits the palette in section 03 and the Inter stack in section 04 unchanged — only the mark and the wordmark differ. If you are producing anything that carries one of these, the rules below are the whole specification.

The five rules every sub-brand follows

  1. Colour split. Structure is HTS Navy. Exactly one focal element in Action Blue. Never inverted.
  2. Negative space. A consistent transparent gap isolates the focal element so it survives scaling down.
  3. Typography. Inter. Two-word names split Medium 500 + ExtraBold 800; single-word names all ExtraBold. Tracking −0.02em.
  4. Endorsement. Reads exactly “by Harris Technology Services” — “by” in Neutral Gray, parent in SemiBold navy, ratio 1:3.16.
  5. Variant set. Six files on a 100×100 grid, content spanning 12–88, so every sub-brand shares one optical size.

The Node Coworking space · 5 West Gay Street

A diamond divided into four quadrants by open channels, with a circular node suspended at the centre. Always “The Node” — never “Node” or “HTS Node”. Members are licensees, never tenants.

Managed Managed services line · htsmanaged.com

A six-blade camera aperture with an Action Blue iris core. The iris reads as vision and continuous observation rather than generic security. The wordmark is “Managed” alone — the products already carry the parent (HTS Sentinel, HTS BadgeFlow, HTS AccessOps, HTS NetOps, HTS Comply), so it rides the endorsement line instead of being repeated.

Small sizes, and why favicons need a hinted file

Both marks suffer subpixel bleed in the focal gap at 16px. Compare the samples below at actual size. For a favicon, supply a hand-hinted PNG or ICO — do not scale the SVG and hope.

Before anything is painted, printed or wrapped

Use the outlined files. The working SVGs keep live text so they stay editable. For anything fabricated — signage, embroidery, engraving, vehicle graphics — use the outlined variants, where the wordmark is converted to vector paths. A fabricator without Inter installed substitutes a system font silently and breaks the wordmark. Every logo on this page is an outlined file.

The palette is a screen specification, not a fabrication one. It is hex only. Get a physical drawdown from your fabricator, approve it, and send the resulting PMS or RAL values back to us so they can be recorded here. Action Blue #00B8EB is a saturated cyan that shifts noticeably between substrates. This applies to the parent HTS mark in section 01 as well.

Need the source files, an outlined set, or a lockup that is not shown here? Ask before improvising one — see section 06.
